Friendship Bridge between NorthEast Thailand & Laos

While crossing this friendship bridge from Thailand into Laos, I'm filled with a sense of awe. This bridge was built to strengthen its relationship between these two countries and in order to built this bridge, both countries paid 50/50 for the construction of this bridge. History has it that both were always in war with one another to gain control and monopoly of each other as well. Now both nationals can travel back and forth without any difficulties, but it would be better to travel in a vehicle as the journey from one end to another end is a distance, however, i do see some the locals walking though.
